The tissue guards for the plates have red printed captioning, one line from the play itself. The vellum has faint spotting, a vertical crease on the spine, perhaps slight fading to the gilt lettering on the spine. Ribbon ties intact. Ribbon book mark loose but present. Clean inside, and overall a fresh, bright copy. The original slipcase, made of card, is neatly torn along its horizontal edges. All original pieces, though, are present. A prior owner's book plate, the well-known theater scholar and critic, Christopher Rawson, is oddly pasted onto a slipcase board. His book plate also contains the armorial emblem of his alma mater, Harvard.Condition: Near Fine
