Hardcover Modern 1/2 Red Morroco gilt folio beautifully restored . Profusely illustrated, tissue guards throughout. g. A scarce reprinting by Cassell, having first published the work in 1866. Profusely adorned with 75 full-page plates from French engraver Gustave Dore (1832-1883). This is among the most well-known and poignant artistic depictions of Dante's work in lovely restored condition, occasional creasing to tissue guards and some sporadic spotting but overall a really nice  copy which is becoming increacingly hard to find nowadays.
