Very good condition, two volumes quarto, contempory red morroco boards, 114 plates on heavy paper with tissue guards and accompanying text.The work comprises a series of engravings with lists of the engravings and descriptive letterpress. Both volumes have engraved title-pages, with ornamental borders. The frontispiece, in volume I, is an engraving of 'The New National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London. Engraved by W. Wallis, from a drawing by Thos. H. Shepherd, Esqre. for Jones' Series of engravings from the pictures in the Gallery.' Volume I has [124] pages, 59 leaves of plates, including the frontispiece; and volume II has [118] pages, 56 leaves of plates.
